About me

My name is Petr Kačer and I welcome you on my website.

I was born in beautiful town of Chlumec nad Cidlinou, I studied Secondary Technical School of Electrical Engineering in Pardubice and then Cybernetics, Control and Measurements programme at the Faculty of Electrical Engineering and Communication at Brno University of Technology. At the moment, I work in Prague as a software engineer.

Apart from computers, electronics and science and technology in general, I love nature, as well as hiking and trips. My hobbies are also sci-fi and fantasy and, of course, painting and drawing.

Although I have always played with graphics and design, I have never been painting, at least not until the year 2020. It has all begun by visiting an ordinary painting exhibition of a Czech painter, that took place at an elementary school, that we run into during holiday. This exhibition, for some reason, was very inspiring for me and made me wonder, whether I could paint something by myself. And so, a bit later, I started with painting.

At the moment, I do mostly landscape painting, but sooner or later, my fondness of sci-fi and fantasy will definitely show in my work.
